Working as an interior designer for 10 years now, I can say that the tastes of people have really changed. The latest trend in home designs is the addition of fancy window treatments. Most of my clients are actually less concerned about their furniture, wall papers, home accessories and other things. They are more concerned with actually beautifying the whole atmosphere of the home. This can only be achieved by changing the windows since the amount of light that passes through the window into the room.

Most of the designs which I have made use the most elaborate treatments for the window. These create a solid, accent on the frame of the window but still allow maximum light to enter. Instead of covering a sheer curtain over it, this actually allows more light to make the room brighter. Basically, the whole idea of using these treatments is to line the window frame only. Even if the curtains are elaborate or very fancy, these are not used to cover the window. This creates an overall design that brightens up the atmosphere of the room while giving it an instant renovation. All of my clients are impressed with this kind of arrangement. It is time to remove all curtains and let the sunlight pass for a brighter day, every day!
